Dear all,

This workshop will be structured to include theoretical and practical hands-on activities on various online learning environments which can enhance at the different stages of teaching interactive and collaborative learning in higher education. It will offer an overview of orchestration routines which can be adopted for sharing content and providing feedback and support to students. Participants will be familiarized with ways of preparing online content through screencasting technologies and multimedia creation. Furthermore, through exposure to various virtual classroom software, they will acquire skills in developing a technology enhanced in-class and after-class experience for their students. Assessment through e-portfolio development and online surveys will also be illustrated and then evaluated by participants.

Key topics and ideas to be presented during the workshop include:
·    Key orchestration routines for ICT integration;
·    Online community creation through Moodle and Blackboard ‘cafes’, blogging and  online groups;
·    Screencasting technologies and online tutorial development (flipped classroom methodology);
·    Entrance ticket creation through flowcharts, mind-mapping technologies and note-taking software;
·    Online learning environments and multimedia development;
·    In-class delivery virtual classroom software;
·    Students in the role of live classroom administration;
·    E-portfolios as a method of self and peer assessment (website/blog development, e portfolio platforms);
·    Online surveys and assessment methods: how to engage and assess students pre-class, in-class and after-class.
